Do you take one night bookings in your B&B?

We accept one night bookings where we have one night gaps between larger stays. These can only be booked directly so please call or email us at the pub if you are interested in a shorter stay. We often publish these one night gaps on our social media platforms at the start of the week so keep your eyes peeled for a last minute booking.

Are you open during the winter?

Yes, we're open year round. The only day we don't open is Christmas Day.

Can we book to stay with you?

We have three beautiful sea-view rooms available on a B&B basis all year round. These can be booked from the ‘Rooms’ page on the website where you will find more information.

Do you offer the pub for private hires?

We do not offer exclusive use of the pub for the warmer months (May-September) but will be happy to discuss private events for the rest of the year. Please drop us an email if you wanted to have a chat.

Do your rooms have cots?

We have one cot available for use in our three rooms. Please contact us directly if you would like us to save it for you.

Do you have a kids menu?

Yes our children’s menu appears on our al la carte food menu which you will find on the ‘Eat & Drink’ tab on the website.

Do you have highchairs?

We have plenty of highchairs. If booking a table please let us know that you would like one and we’ll have it ready for your arrival.

Do you take table bookings?

We take table reservations for food and drinks for inside tables from 30th September - 31st May. These are available to book via Opentable found on the ‘Bookings’ page on the website. With the exception of our B&B guests we do not take reservations for food or drinks for the summer months 1st June - 29th September instead operating on a first come first serve basis. As we cannot guarantee the weather we not take take bookings for outside tables at any point of the year.

Are camper vans allowed to stay overnight?

The pubs carpark is sloped so not suitable for overnight stays and the carpark opposite is subject to a convenient preventing vehicles remaining overnight closing at dusk in the evening. Vehicles need to be removed beforehand.

Is there a bus stop nearby?

There is a bus stop a shortish walk up lane (0.5 miles) with a route that runs along the A35 between Weymouth and Axminster. Stops along the route include Westbay, Bridport, Charmouth and Lyme Regis. A link to the current timetable is below. There are also several taxi firms that operate in the area we will be happy to provide you with contact details at the pub.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Our pub is wheelchair accessible and has a disabled bathroom. As a cosy smugglers pub some of our rooms are more unusually sized; for winter bookings if a member of your party is in a wheelchair we would kindly ask that you make us aware when booking so we can ensure we allocate a table with a comfortable amount of space and access. Unfortunately, our B&B rooms do not have disabled access with a flight of stairs (16 steps) to gain entry to the rooms.

Do you accept cash?

We accept all mayor credit cards including American Express

Does the pub have parking?

We have a limited numbers of spaces at the front of the pub with three spots reserved for our B&B guests. There is a large independently owed carpark opposite the pub which opens from 9am daily and closes at dusk. The carpark charges £4 for the day October - March and £8 for the day and £4 after 4pm April - September. Where the £8 parking fee applies a £2 redemption is available at the pub or Seatown Slice, our beachside pizza kiosk, just bring the parking receipt along on day of entry. The lane down to the pub has double yellow lines in effect from 24th May - 30th September.

Are you dog friendly?

Whilst we do not allow pets in our B&B rooms your pooches are more than welcome to join you whilst you drink or dine with us. If you are booking a table please let us know in the notes that you are bringing your furry companion along and we will do our best to allocate space for them. We politely ask that they are kept on a lead and off the furniture. It is common for us to have several dogs in the pub so less sociable pets may be best left at home.
